How To Eat “101”

90% of what Americans now eat is processed. We consume more of our food from a package, a can, a box or a jar.

In those containers is refined flour, high fructose corn syrup, refined seed oils, hidden sugars, hundreds of chemicals in the form of preservatives, colorings, flavorings and (little actual nutrition.)

Besides being nutritionally empty these products are actually inflammatory in nature. They promote diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, Alzheimer’s, obesity, high blood pressure, inflammatory bowel conditions, depression, fatigue, cancer and other conditions.

One of our body’s first reactions to these man-made chemicals is inflammation, or in other words to become swollen.

It’s easy to see then that when a diet of this nature is consumed regularly how this chronic inflammation can lead to the beginning of one or more disease processes.

Lean meat, fish, chicken, eggs, fruit, vegetables, greens and nuts form the foundation of a diet that is basic, healthy and non-inflammatory.
