Treating Degenerative Diseases

We see more and more conditions that can be termed degenerative in nature. They take hold, worsen and result in a decline in the quality of our lives. These are things such as arthritis, heart disease, diabetes and more. These preventable diseases grow in number every year. Something they all have in common is inflammation.
Most traditional providers tend to treat the symptoms and effects of these diseases. Remember, inflammation is at the heart of these maladies. So we need to begin effective treatment by first reducing the inflammation. Of course this begs the question, “What’s causing the inflammation?” Researchers have known that diets high in refined carbohydrates, gluten and sugar are a primary cause of inflammation. Most traditional doctors don’t use this information. Many still think carbs are good and fat is bad.
Heart disease, type II diabetes, common arthritis and other degenerative conditions are largely preventable. Instead their rise is unprecedented. The fastest rate of growth is in younger people. Yet, we spend more on health care than any other country. What are we getting for our money? One thing for sure is a health crisis that is deepening. The health care industry seems to point us in the direction of more medicine, “Here, take this pill.” It’s like we’re being told, “This isn’t working; let’s do more of the same.”
The way we’re going to get out of this dwindling health spiral, is to personally take responsibility for our own health and the health of our family. It actually can be done and it is very rewarding.
We need to start by reducing, then eliminating those things that actually cause inflammation in the body.
With regard to our diet, this is how you start:
1. Diminish the simple carbohydrates and sugar containing food and drinks. This includes things like most bread, cakes, cookies, pastas, grains, pop (and other sugary drinks).
2. Eliminate cow’s milk.
3. Eat good fats. Avoid foods that say “low fat”. They have extra sugar.
4. Eat lots of different colored vegetables.
5. Include some protein with each meal.
We are here to help. Our purpose is to aid you in recovering your health without drugs or surgery.
